In other bay12 moderation news, I PM'd toady about what to do with people spreading misinformation about recent drama. It's died down so no worries right now, but if anyone posts insulting and condescending shit again, just hit report and don't argue. I don't like putting drama on toady's shoulders (seriously I sure as hell wouldn't want to deal with it), but better than pointless arguing or allowing people to post defamatory crap.

And now let's hopefully never speak of this again.

And I agree with the defamatory crap. Really rethinking even dealing with some of the ones that did that I considered friends. It's one thing to not like something but don't go blatantly lying about it for no fucking good reason.

What kind of lies are being spread? I haven't been looking on the forums much, but I haven't really seen anything that wasn't accidental misinformation.

I only tend to be active in specific parts. What kind of fallout did we leave behind?

Basically stuff along the lines of "those sick bronies were posting rapefics and horse porn!"

Yeah, I haven't really seen anything malicious, just people being dumbasses and talking about the thread locks even though they don't have any idea what happened. Honestly, it is a bit disappointing to see that B12 regulars are just as quick to jump straight to misinformed bigotry as anyone else. A bit ironic, actually, given how many threads there are making fun of people who believe sensationalist news reports.

It's just one of those little things that keeps me from deciding I'm a member of the actual community. As far as I'm concerned I'm just a curious guest still.

Here seems cool so far though. Maybe when It livens up a bit more Ill consider this my home on the net instead.

Well, the names won't be pony-specific, but this is a pretty handy ship namer. You could just roll up batches of 50 and pick the ones that fit, or change them up a bit to be more ponyish.
