I agree with Sean. Decisive proof that they are, indeed, behind everything. Why else would all these organizations be named after them?

It's actually a case of weird interdimensional interactions. Those are all the professions/activities the CMC tried out/try out/will try out to get their cutie marks. Somehow, this had an impact on other dimensions.

I spent all of yesterday thinking it was Friday, and was staying up till the new episode.. then I realized it was Thursday (well, Friday morning..)
