With a terrible accent.
And at least one octave lower.
But if that's alright with you...

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Art of the Dress is probably my favorite out of it all. Winter Wrap up is a close 2nd I figure.

Either of you could, it'd be fine with me. Flutterguy, anyone?
Just name which song you'd like parodied and I'll write it!

If you write it, I'll try to sing it. Hm. An 'Art of the Dress' parody, maybe?

OoooOOoOoO! You guys remember this one from the Fortress is Magma thread?
Protip: You might want to listen to the original a few times to see the tune and see where it's just conversation.

Necro's empire, taking out Hell snip by snip
Making sure the proles burn nicely
It's the perfect pitch, and so grim!
Always got to keep in mind my pacing,
Got to make sure the supports are correctly facing
We're slaughtering Hellllllllllllll!
Yard by yard, cutting off their tails,
Rope neckline, don't you know a broken mind kills nine?
Breaking through the first spire,
Although we'll stack dead higher,
got to mind those metal snails,
Even though they're tough as nails,
We're slaughtering, Helllllll!
Tactics are easy,
the pitch is quite greasy,
the fires are a tad breezy,
Thinking about the odds, do you think it's a bit crazy?
Don't do anything brash, you'll hear your flesh ripping
Hook and eye, couldn't you simply just die?
Making sure it fits forelock and breast,
don't forget the quiver in the crest,
even though we ride high on the morrow,
we shall all look like tanks,
We're slaughtering, Hellllllllll!
Piece by piece, inch by inch,
Mountain, hill, pit, vortex, Hell
Step by step, slashed and cleansed,
Mile by mile, never stress,
and that's the beginning of their distresssss!
Now the gears in our machine must be indestructible, indeed!
We only need a thousand, no more!
Step by step, piecing it together!
Deadline looms, don't you know end is nigh?
Even if my planning was perfect,
I have to kill them all just right
Ironsides, the swords are not balanced
Just wait until we fight
We shall die togetherrrrr!
You think it would be better if the dogs didn't burn?
Well I think-
STAYED WITH US?
Well...
DO IT!
We're on the hour, just one more change
We shall bring them endless pain!
Joey, you had plenty enough time!
Bolt, the cogs must all wind!
Oh Armok, the blood shall flow like wine!
Don't forget, we can't take all of time
Strategy's easy
Every god damned thrall
Brings another new revision
We must pick up our pace, if we are to stick to our vision!
That's are just pathetic, you call yourselves miners?
That's just rutile, please!
Ugh...
What if they spit? MAGMA!
MORE MEATSHIELDS! Oh that's too much...
MORE WAR DOGS! Oh, less canines.
Oh wait, I know! OBSIDIAN!
Obsidian?
WHOSE FORT IS THIS?
Obsidian it is...
What, aren't you going to tell me to change something too?
No, I just want to survive.
Do you not like my scheme?!
The plan is fine, I just want to li-
YOU DARE DISRESPECT MY LEADERSHIP?
You're just fine, I just want to live
I just want to keep twenty of my friends...
All you'll get is my decisions
All you want is less than I'll give
Must balance fear with adherence
I have to keep up the appearance
Even if I must kill the proles
Who will just be useless and poke holes
We must conquer nations!
And crush them beneath our legions!
Inch by inch, mile by mile,
Mountain, hill, pit, vortex, Hell
Bolt by bolt, clowns compressed
Yard by yard, we'll surpass
and that's only the beginning of their distresssss!

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
A break from the parodying, epiphany ranting time!
Watched the latest 3 episodes again (It's About Time, Dragon Quest, and Hurricane Fluttershy), since I finally found a place to download them (yayponies hasn't updated in like a month). Damn they're doing great recently. I started noticing details I didn't the first time around; depth is coming back. I hope it continues, because as much as they're hyping the finale, a flop would be pretty terrible.
If they keep doing as good as the latest 3, I dare say they might be back into the swing of things. I've said before season 2 is about as good as other damn good cartoons (dexter's lab, powerpuff girls, etc), but of note, I never went out of my way to watch those cartoons. They were just good ways to pass the time if I happened upon them. Worth a half hour of my time, but nothing really past that. Inertia's the main reason I've watched the series since Lesson Zero.
I don't like making guesses about what goes on in the studio, but I have felt they lost direction after miss Faust left. It seemed to me they were chasing someone else's vision, and not their own. You can't do anything good pretending you're someone else, and many of the episodes felt like they were going through the motions and missing the heart of the series. All the pieces were there (writing, animation, sound, etc) and roughly as good as before, but not put together in a way that made everything shine. The latest episodes though no longer felt like they were only making things fit the scene or episode, and started feeling like they were considering how things fit in the series as a whole again. In other words, depth. Not the exact same "feel" as season 1, but it doesn't have to be; it just has to be consistent and its own.
Just conjecture on my part of course. I DO have nitpicks to throw at the latest 3 too, but they're smaller than before. For a while, all my opinions of episodes started with "it was great except this really big thing" and I was wondering why I was giving high praise to something with big gaping holes. No gaping holes recently, though; I can't stand the middle of Dragon Quest but I admit that's due to a pet peeve (I hate the jerkass teenage boy stereotype). Putting your Hoof Down was the last one with horrendous flaws, but I'm happy to throw that in with Feelin' Pinkie Keen.
Blah blah blah, ponies have been great recently.

To those of you who have encountered the rumours of a S3 Derpy episode, I present my own reaction.

Stupid connection! I won't be able to watch Hurricane Fluttershy until Tuesday at best.

It's roughly 15020% better than Putting Your Hoof Down, so you're missing out!
Have you a flash drive? Download it from some questionable website (cough) at a library!
