It's a ThePirateBay page and includes Rule 34, so I better not post it here. I'm not sure if I could even post it into Everfree. Most Rule 34 is frowned upon there, too, and I don't know if this site could get into trouble if I posted a link to TPB publicly.

R34 is "whatever". The only thing I personally would frown upon is rape. As for linking to TPB, yeahno. Stuff that offends people is fine. Stuff that could potentially get us in trouble/shut down isn't.

Okay, so I've just uploaded the torrent to my mediafire account. The torrent itself and the files are harmless. Just because it was posted on ThePirateBay doesn't mean that it has really anything to do with ThePirateBay. So, I would be clear to post a link to that file in Everfree? Only in Everfree, I suppose since there's R34, but hey, better than nothin'.

There was one tpb pony pic collection linked in second bay12 pony thread, it was nicely categorized too so one could delete anything unsavory easily.

Pretty sure that's exactly the one I found and pretty sure I found it exactly that way. However, while it is nicely categorized, I think there is no separate R34 category.

Or possibly it is all Celestia's memories of the distant past, primarily as described to her at second-hand (letters and such), which would explain a lot of the inconsistencies: she has just forgotten, or never really got the whole story and tried to fill in the gaps.

That is actually a pretty interesting interpretation. Maybe it's all a book of memoirs, written by Celestia and Luna on the ruins of a fading world that has lost its sun, found lying next to their bones amidst the dust, protected by the last of their magic. It had laid there for centuries, maybe millenia, only to be picked up by the hand of a curious creature that had arrived to explore a strange planet drifting through deep space.

I suspect that not even ponies speak English, and the way we hear them and see writing is a medium convention. Most books shown in the early episodes are in this sort of Ancient-Equestrian script, so I suspect that's what they actually speak and write in. The Thessalonica Legacy did a good take on this.

As for the book itself, it would likely make no sense for it to be written if nobody else could read it. I suspect a simple on-touch translator spell has already been worked into it.

Precisely. It isn't exactly a stretch to assume that a pair of goddesses could whip up an automatic translation spell which gets into the mind of whatever it is targetting and changes everything into the best possible meaning-intention version of what was said/written in the language(s) understood by the target of the spell.
