I don't get lucid dreams, so there isn't really paranoia for me. It's more like when you're watching a movie with a predictable plot: "Ugh, he's gonna die.". I feel and see and everything, but I'm being puppetteered or something. "Oh boy, am I getting my ribs or my neck ribbed apart today."

I don't understand, no one feels severe pain in their dreams, except me?

I've felt pain in dreams before, but it's usually more akin to the vague, adrenaline- and endorphine-stifled pain you feel when you're in an adrenaline rush than real pain. A lot of my dreams are semi-lucid: I'm aware they're dreams and can act accordingly, but my mind is so dead-set on fucking me over that there's usually nothing I can do except spectate my own demise or the failure of whatever goals I have in the dream. It's kind of Lovecraftian, really.

SS13, modified BS12. I observed the HoS "dealing with" the chef after I was stuck in the kitchen maintenance. Then it goes like so: "Maybe you should stop fuckign eavesdropping by that window, before I get into that shaft and rip your da,m ears off!" Axl Blyant exclaims, "Oh, so now we see the violence inherent in the system!" *HoS walks out door, tases me and starts pulling me away* Axl Blyant stammers, "H-Help! H-H-Help! X-COM, just took a base attack against my almost-undefended new base in central Asia. All I had to defend it was a squad of 8 unblooded rookies, about half of whom were armored, with 4 laser rifles, 2 pistols, a medkit, and a scanner between them. None of them were particularly good, save one; they were all rejects from my A-team. Moreover, it was a Muton assault. So yeah, the direction this is taking should be fairly obvious, eh?

NOPE.

End result: 12 dead mutons, 1 dead rookie, 1 rookie in the medbay for a few weeks.

In vaguely consistent order:

-An unarmored rookie took a point-blank heavy plasma shot to the chest and lived.
-After that knocked him out, the unarmed rookie with the scanner legged it down the hall, scooped up the unconscious guy, and ducked into a side path to meet up with the medic. She dodged multiple reaction-fire shots while doing so.
-Towards the tail end of the engagement, there's a fairly large heap of muton corpses at my choke point. The only problem? The last one is lurking in the elevator, and he has a launcher. So it's only a matter of time before half my people are wiped if I keep waiting. I'd already hit the bastard once, so I sent the nearest rookie creeping up on him. Next turn she rounds the corner and opens up on automatic with her laser pistol at point-blank range, and drops him with the second-to-last shot. Crisis averted.
-All but two of the kills were the same two guys that I had sitting down at the end of a long hallway the whole time, popping reaction fire at everything that left the lift room.

Why would you hide in a bathroom stall (or any small, isolated space) as an inno? It's like posting a sign saying, "Please murder me and have your way with my corpse."

Unless you're on a low enough living count that you're allowed to claim rooms, in which case your first and only response to someone coming in is to blow their brains all over the wall. Razz

Incidentally, did NewGmod fuck with your sensitivity settings, etc. as much as mine?

We both happened to fire at the same time. Except he had a shotgun at my head. My sensitivity settings are fine as far as I can tell.

Bows can be dwarfy. The kind of craftsmanship (or craftsdwarfship) that goes into something like a composite recurve bow is pretty impressive.

Was playing Sins:Rebellion as Advent when there was a series of coincidental events.

First, I discovered the mind-shattering (albeit completely useless) Space Ponies! on one of my worlds.

Soon after, I was looking over some of my recently constructed capital ships when lo and behold, I find a Discord class capital ship named Ce1estia. (Who's been mucking about with the autocorrect settings?)
