As for the moral at the end, it doesn't always work like that. Sometimes telling a parent doesn't solve anything, because parents can be fucking stupid, or as the case could have been for poor Babs growing up in the city, worse than the kids (like a gang member). Sometimes, the best solution is a knife and a hot shower.

I don't recall if it was anyone here, so this might be kinda pointless, but I just want to say that I know several real-life people with that accent. It's pretty accurate. It's not a terribly pervasive accent by any chance, but it's real. And it's out there. And it reminds me of that time I went to New York for vacation, visiting the handful of my family that still lives there.

My problem with it was actually that I also know quite a few people with that accent, and it was just off enough to bother me. Not a huge amount, mind you, but enough to make me sit there and go, "Eh, not quite y'all." I am way too picky about that kind of shit though. It actually was a pretty good job for the daughter of a Canadian voice actor.
