Completely derailing the discussion for the moment (heh, "derailing"...), I know this one is ridiculously old, even not taking its subject matter into account, but it had me laughing for a good few minutes just now, just because of the way the conclusion is phrased. Maybe the fact that I have a better appreciation for equines nowadays has something to do with it, but I found it utterly hilarious for some reason. Have a read, maybe you haven't yet:

Skimming it, I don't see how those criteria could possibly apply to everyone. Unless you think everyone's an egocentric douchebag. In fact, I think it's too specific; it seems to be only applying the terms to malicious people. Psychopathy != sadism.

Plus, it itself gives a specific number as to how many are psychopaths:

The article's BS, but not because it's too vague. It's BS because it's making tons of assumptions, faulty statistics (lawl at more men than women being psychopaths), and demonizing.

So I've been meaning to start picking up 40K novels, and this being the place it is, I've come here to ask for recommendations of specific novels/authors. Any suggestions?

Dan Abnett and Aaron Dembski-Bowden are the best of the bunch. I find Graham McNeill hit or miss, though Mechanicum was a good one, imo.

Overall though, the Horus Heresy series is decently well written. Though there are duds there as well.

Don't go in expecting high literature and you'll be good to go.

EDIT: One of my personal favorites is Titanicus by Abnett. Also, the Eisenhorn series is pretty well-recieved.

I haven't heard anyone else in reality say, "Goodbye" in over a year. Everyone says "Bye", "See ya" or "Buh-bye". I usually say "Goodbye", but everyone else says something shorter.
