Important Stuff

Due to recent events I've decided to make this into a seperate thread, where we can post and keep track of ongoing news in the community at large. I'll start off with the motivation for this:



It's nice to see a reasonable, positive response. Now if we can just keep the nuts away from them...

In short, things like that are why this is going to be here; messages and information that need to be spread as widely as possible.

But what if they like nuts? Nuts are tasty and you want to take them away!

Yes, the cashews are all mine. As are the hazelnuts. They can have the almonds.

Correct, to a certain degree. In a culinary sense, cashews are nuts, but botanically they are seeds. Almonds are drupes; the semirigid outer shell is the mesocarp (or the flesh of the fruit), while the edible meat is the pit.

In reality, a large range of dried fruits and seeds are commonly know as nuts; in the botanical sense, only Family Fagaceae (Oak, Chestnut, Beech) and Family Betalaceae (Alder, Hazel) are true nuts, which is rather overly specific for normal usage, so it makes more sense to use (and assume the use of) the culinary concept of the nut, as it will be more widely understood and requires less detailed identification, so unless you're doing a research paper on true-nuts and false-nuts, you don't really need to worry about the botanical classifications.

That's just nuts.

But, anyway, I'd say pecans are one of my favorites. Especially butter pecan ice cream. It's like God's gift to the Earth.

I think we've gotten to the point where we can derail a thread just by looking at it.

I don't think I've ever derailed a thread under my own power, but I've certainly assisted in derails and rerails.

Just few days ago I posted on EQD that there will NEVER be NMM toy because she's EVULZ, and now, as if some hasbro executive had read it and decided that THERE WILL BE NMM TOY, just so I can have one. Also screw grammar.

Dj-pon3 is great too and I have wanted Zerora toy but blaa blaa because NMM awesomeness.

Dammit I'm going to have to buy some real toys.

YES! That is awesome! I'm guessing they're impossible to get in Germany (although Toys R' Us does exist in Germany, MLP isn't as big here as it is in America), so I probably won't be getting any of them. Oh well, who cares, I just like that they exist.

MLP toys exist here in Russia, so I doubt they wouldn't be in Germany. We don't even have any "Toys 'R Us" here. Now, granted, we don't have a whole lot of them (no blind bags, for one), but there's a whole smattering of all kinds of pony things in the biggest toy store chain in our city. I wouldn't be too surprised if these eventually made it here as well.

Curiously, the non-brushable miniatures have sold out by the time I got around to visiting the store. I'd like to believe this wasn't just due to demand from the target demographic. (besides, they still have loads of the brushable ones and toy sets... including one of G4 Scootaloo and another pony as seaponies, which caught me completely off-guard... yes, I know there are previous-gen Scootaloos, but I'm fairly sure the image on the box was of the G4 iteration. Might've been mistaken, who knows. It was surrounded by G4 stuff, and I didn't see a single previous-gen toy there either, so..)
(edit: yep, previous gen. Just checked the website. Odd, most of the stuff they had there was G4. Oh well.)

We have toys and us or whatever its called here in Finland and we better get those toys or I will burn down some houses with lemons in my raeg.

Ponibooru is a good repository, and that's about all that there's good about it, but it's still nice to have around, if only as another mirror for everything.

There are always wankers arguing about porn images. And creepy bastards who RP. But they don't argue about porn images in not-porn images unless the not-porn image is connected to a porn image in some direct way.

I don't, but I usually end up crying at the end. One comes to mind; it ended up turning into an argument that ran for several hundred posts and had a bunch of those creepy!Woody images posted.
