Oh hey, I looked at the schedule and they're playing my favorite batman episode this saturday too. Joker's Favor, 7 AM (3 hours before the pony episodes).

If there's one thing in the DCAU that everyone needs to watch, it's that episode. Joker's introduction + the one shot character Charlie is friggin' badass.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested this, and maybe someone has and I missed it, but perhaps Cadence is Blueblood's long-lost mother. She's also his distaff counterpart: where he exemplifies all the negative stereotypes of a 'romanticized' (for lack of a better term in my head) woman, she exemplifies all those of a romanticized man: domineering, sexist, and abusive.

My running theory is that the "dark secret" is either something comparatively trivial (i.e. she is doing something to Shining or herself to make Shining love her and marry her, at the end of the day whatever it is is dispelled, only for Shining to marry her anyway), or something more elaborate than the prevalent theories. Phoe (one of the Equestria Daily staff, who were invited to some finale-related activites recently) posted in the GitP ponythread that the finale will "cause the ponynet to explode", i.e. there is likely something ridiculous going on. What it is I can't even begin to imagine, though I can rule out some of the more awesome and the darker possibilities, owing to this show's status as a "kids' show". I.e. there aren't going to be any deaths, there aren't going to be any major disasters (in similar vein) or, say, multiverse or timestream shenanigans (permanent, I mean). Clones are an interesting development, but we've yet to see what they actually mean. In any case, we haven't got too long a wait in front of us now. Which is actually sad. In two more days the second season will be over, and when/if the third starts in a few months, it'll only be thirteen episodes... Maybe they're gearing up for a G4.5?

I'm not terribly worried. It'll suck not having the show around, but our beloved characters will live on with us at least. The fandom's big and powerful, I'm certain that something special will happen.

And who knows? Maybe we'll be getting a movie out of it or something else awesome.

I've been completely ignorant of what it means. Damn.

I gotta say, it's a weird thing, I havent actually wathced the show that much. I really like it, but I havent really kept upt with it or rewathced episodes. I just check out all the random fan comics/drawings/videos and I've read few short fanfics, but I've managed to waste a lot of time watching random pony videos on youtube. I wonder I'f I'll ever get to continuing reading that fallout fic.

Not necessarily true. Rumor has it the reason the 13 episode thing came up is because there are two different studios doing the animation for the episodes, and only one set has been leaked/seen.

Or so I've heard. I see no reason they'd chop down a show with such unexpected and large success, especially seeing how pumped Hasbro and the Hub seem to be about an expanded market.
