On deceptions and Robots

Ponies are not very good at lieing, or detecting lies, it's sort of a running gag. They are very trusting and altruistic...

Mind altering magic exists, and is very defective.

Proposition: one could easily construct a golem/magitech robot, with an intelligence about that of a moderately sophisticated spambot and physical capabilities of a come-to-life-ed animatronic, wich would go around preying on pony hospitality and sending money back to it's creator, or even one able to reproduce exponentially by asking unicorns pleadingly to cast certain spells on it.

And that's how equestia was overun by pony shaped scams.

You just successfully developed a way for scambots to manifest themselves into a collective consciousness of unending proportions. In a show about ponies. Son, I am appoint.
