Second to last one made me laugh. You've got to wonder how old Celestia actually is. She has to be at least 1005 assuming the aging rate of a horse, more if you consider that the ponies probably age slower so they can have more time to learn and develop into intelligent beings.

The only remaining question is if Celestia and Discord were really working together the whole time to troll Twilight.

I can just see an even more insanely good "Twilight goes apeshit on Celestia" fanfic sprouting from this...

Then she finds out that it was never Celestia's intention and the one person who probably could have helped her now distrusts/dislikes her/is unable to help due to injury/death/distance (the guards would probably bar Twilight from ever visiting the castle again, and Luna would probably help to keep Twilight and Celestia away from each other) and she has to find a new way to make everything right with what friends and supporters she has left.

Yeah, I've been saying it too, but now we have proof. No way Celestia didn't know what would happen if Twilight recovered the personalities of the M6 from the letters.

This is actually rather close to a tangent I've been considering that could completely restore my faith in the whole show, bad horrible and out of character episodes together, if it were used as a plot point in the season finale. A mathematically negligible chance it is, but there's still the possibility of the writers trying to make up for the oddities of the second season. It'd be the equivalent of the Cosmic Retcon I've mentioned elsewhere, but it'd work, and even though this is a very dark idea in itself, pulling it off would fix everything.

Am I the only one that doesn't come up with wild theories for things that can more easily be explained by people making the show being something other than perfect?

No, but we like our wild theories, even if we don't like why they appear. Besides, if we do have them and the show's creators still don't care, the ideas get upgraded to fanon, which, if popular, allows us to make the creators see where they were wrong. Win-win.

The creative team could even use that sort of retcon for a moral about how friends (and others, let's work Trixie and the other minor antagonists in there) are more than just the summation of your experience with them. Ye goddesses, this would be a brilliant way out.

Indeed. And that's why I know we won't get it. It'd be too good. Nothing in the universe can be this good. For starters, the writing team would have to be aware that there is a problem, and with the amount of people praising the second season, they are quite unlikely to. Then they'd have to push this rather dark premise (i.e. the entirety of the cast being warped versions of themselves for the whole season) past whoever is approving FiM scripts nowadays. And then they'd actually have to pull the thing off in a coherent way. The chances of that all happening are statistically negligible. I could try hopping to a timeline where it does happen, but with my luck and these chances... yeah, no. (And besides, I'd never know if it worked or not... multiverse travel is weird like that.)
