Nah, as far as I know, Holmes only takes cocaine (through injection, not snorting) and only when he's depressed because he's bored with the world at large.
However, I haven't read that many Sherlock Holmes stories yet, so it might be that he also takes opium.

I recall at least one case where he spent most of the story taking opium in a den that happened to also be the site of the murder. I'm pretty much certain that he took it on a regular basis, which isn't exactly strange, as pretty much everyone (particularly intellectuals of all sorts) used opium and cocaine back in the day.
