Well, partly thanks to Debesh, I am now playing Starcraft again. Getting it to work on my computer was a terrible pain in the ass, but I managed.

Terraria.

Fucking Terraria.

I've had this game for four days - one of my friends bought it for me on the v1.1 release on Steam. I have since logged 34 hours. How, I have no idea.

Also Runescape. Doing Branches of Darkmeyer, up to the final boss, check the wiki to see what I'm up against, abandon quest for probably about a year. Seriously, fuck this shit.

Well I bought another month of wow.

Damn the dress up system is limited. Kinda regretting the purchase. Oh well, the game itself is still pretty ok; I'll probably log maybe 10 hours a week just when I'm bored. They seem to have made the "weekly farms" go by much faster so no need to be logged in every day anymore.

Re: Terraria: I just finished grinding the last of the souls to complete my entire collection of 1.1 top-tier stuff, and stopped playing, because I am unable to join servers due to some issue which has never been addressed. Time for a conventional Aurora start. Or to see if I can somehow get Starcraft II running on this shitty intergrated Intel graphics chip.

Terraria is damn fun. Shame it gets a little stale when you start to trample everything.

Lately I've been playing Killing Floor. Since I love me some mindless gunning down of hapless zombies. But thanks to a suggestion I'm also likely to be trying out the new free version of APB.

Hah, I always loved those crazy 40 player Killing Floor servers where it was set at max difficulty and there were something like 800-1200 zeds per round. It always seemed to come down to one or two crazy awesome sharpshooters doing circuits of the map frantically headshotting everything.

I'm doing a Nuzlocke run of LeafGreen. The catch? I'm only allowed to use normal-type 'mons.
So I'm grinding my Rattatta in the grass, and guess what I find?
A FUCKING SHINY RATTATTA

This is the first shiny Pokemon I have ever seen. Ever. Of course it's a Rattatta and in a Nuzlocke.

You know what's even more fun?

Solo on DOOMed, faked players mutator at 30. Hard or above. Berserker perk only.

Well, finally got through the Terran campaign of vanilla StarCraft. Again. Damn this is going to be hard.

But half the fun is in sealing people out of your safe zone/saving people that got sealed out of your safe zone by some asshole.





On another note: Skyrim. How can I hate so much about something yet still love it?

I mostly hate Skyrim for being too good for my good. It keeps distracting meeeeeee!

I got it on sale, and I love those servers so much.

Only problem is doorlockers, I get killed by that more than I do getting caught reloading. I end up in the last 5 on the round before the patriarch, then someone slams a door in my face as I'm running from a fleshpound. Then instead of getting my dual revolvers and crossbow, I get a lever-action

I'm playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It's my fifth or sixth playthrough by now.
Also Dwarf Fortress.

Steam sales! Therefore FO:NV, or more precisely, attempting to stabilize fps enough for it to be playable. And by playable I mean combat not being "run up to a three meter distance because you turned all the fade distances down to the minimum to increase performance and then fire off as much ammunition as it takes to get hits".

I've turned into some sort of machine that constantly cycles between Skyrim, FO:NV, Aurora, Terraria, STALKER, Eufloria, Audiosurf, Touhou, and EU III. I don't think I've gone more than ~6 hours at a time without playing a game in the past week, and that only because of novels and a slight need for sleep. Not sure if I should be alarmed or pleased. Actually, I am sure, because only one of those answers will make me happy.


But yeah, break is bad for me, and I need to get back to procrastinating about papers/working 40h weeks, whichever is seasonally appropriate. Or start writing more of that cyberpunkish Octoscratch story.

In the world of SWTOR currently. Playing a Scoundrel with a few RL friends. Mostly with the Jedi Sentinel friend.
Doing missions together and commenting on each other's dialogue choices makes it more fun. Its like a story based co-op game.

As the Scoundrel, I tend to pick choices that theoretically* get me more credits and makes things more easy. As a light side Jedi Sentinel, he tends to pick all the good guy choices, making things harder... and even going as far as rejecting payment, much to my chagrin.

Also, Smugglers get the 'Captain' title... enter friend's ship, put on the title and start giving orders. Trolltasticly hilarious when they object to the takeover.

*Sometimes I don't really get more creds... or maybe cause we were way overleveled for that...
