I just grabbed whatever vids people put up in the last thread. This thread is for original music made by fans... or original MLP music altered to sound cooler. Not PMVs.

Does anyone else consider that song wrong? BLAMmy? I felt like it wasn't integrated into the story, rather tacked on. A song for the sake of there being a song, so to speak. (and it's more of a musical anyways)

To a certain degree, yeah, but between the kidnappershy bit, Derpy, and the song itself, it was too awesome for me to care.

Yeah, first tanks mentioned in "suited for success", now "fast as a bullet" and a turtle tortoise named Tank as well.

Well, considering the overall level of magitechnology displayed (it's actually fairly easy to surmise that there's a slow urbanization process happening, with Ponyville gradually acquiring more modern technology due to suddenly becoming a very important town), tanks are not quite so far out. Also, you should not forget certain things called tank engines, which is a somewhat rarely used way to refer to locomotives - so it's quite possible that at least the first instance of "tank" could have been referring to that. No way to justify "bullet" though.

FD, intentional or not, but "firearms are now canon" is a horrible pun.

Out of all the pony artists, I just absolutely love this one and this one. There's just something about the voice samples of the ponies themselves singing, it adds a lot in my opinion. (Even if, technically, the singing VAs are usually different from the ponies' normal VAs. But I prefer to ignore that small fact.)

EDIT: Go onto Equestria Daily for the first time today after posting this about how I love SoGreatAndPowerful and PinkiePieSwear, and the first thing I see? The new song called Pinkie Pie Swear by SoGreatAndPowerful. The ponies are in my head. This is not necessarily a bad thing.

I usually miss details like this in music, but I REALLY linked the way they used certain T sounds at the ends of words in the song. "Pet", "get", "faith", "that" "bat". No idea how to describe it. Someone with more knowledge of music theory can explain what it is and why it sounds so nice?

Is it just me, or did from around 0:42 to 1:00 sound like she was saying "Go wing dick" over and over? Appropriate, given the amount of RD in those scenes, but still...

You know he just did it to get a bunch of guys recording themselves singing about being a popular girl.

Now, technically, they are not singing about being a popular girl. The fact that it's supposed to be performed by a girl, and is performed by a female on the show, it doesn't change the fact that the text of the song makes no gender commitments. "I'm the type of pony everypony should know".

Now, the question of whether or not guys singing about being a popular pony is worse, is a whole 'nother kettle of fish entirely.

edit: okay, that might not be entirely true. I think I remember a line like "not another Jane Doe", which is a female moniker, but for the most part it's gender-neutral, I think, thanks to the whole "pony" thing.

No, it uses the term 'girl' a few times. And it probably has a few other feminine-explicit terms too.
