Correct. Having a relationship would kind of be broken though since they'd have to... relieve themselves with another person. Also, saying "We will never have sex" is kinda bad. The chances of finding an asexual (one in a million) that's not aromantic (I don't know the odds for this part) is low, so not counting on this part.

An asexual would probably still have friends and the like. I'm not sure that asexuality would effect that part of their life all that much.
...You know, I could almost consider myself asexual, but it's unlikely that "pretty much asexual" is really a thing, eh?

I still need friends because I'm a human, and I have them. I have you guys, and my IRL circle. If I didn't have any friends, chemical and mental problems like more severe depression would seep in.

I still need romantic relationships to satisfy the need for that part of a relationship, but I neglect it for practical reason: Too much work for too little gain.

Essentially, yes.

So the general consensus is that IRC CHANNEL is MIGHTY SUCCESSOR to the short lived (2012-2012, RIP) chat function. (Apart from the derail that thinks that derail is mighty.) The bay12lb seems to be abandoned by most of the population of these forums so were going to make a new one then just for us?

Slag, your post in the bay12 lower boards irc channel thread on bay12 made me feel that we have something in common. I mean, especially when I read the "trail of thought" thing I felt like I had written that myself. I wish to wish best of luck to you in dealing with these thoughts, they can be really ***ty. Your not alone.

Real shame about bay12lb, I had been there just once, when the subject was pokemanz, speaking non-english langues badly, nick change frenzy and korean history/language. Needless to say it was pretty great. But if the folk here leave, and even Skyrunner isn't going to stick (No more history of koreas ) I'm not sure I'm so interested.

Well it can still be pretty neato place, I mean, someone just posted great image of cat drinking milk. However, it's clear that we cannot possible peacefully co-exist in just one small channel and use that place as if it were just an extension of these forums, without it turning into 2 warring factions situation. It's more neutral ground, and I have to say I found your idea of, well let me quote:

The thing is, we here want to be able to post completely 100% freely the kind of stuff we would speak about. That irc channel is not, at least in my opinion, build to such basis that we could do that there freely without tension arising. It's bay12 lower boards irc channel, and not bay12lowerboards & pony forums irc channel. That is what most of its audience expects it to be, which affects who comes there, and what they expects the channel to be like when it comes to rules, content and general mood.

I don't think the place was not "built" for purposes of everyone and there is nothing wrong in that. Even with calm people, tensions will rise if theyre put into small roving boat with many people from different backgrounds who all expected the boat to exist for their own purposes, be it fishing, rowing or getting drunk and drowning.
