I think everything else except maybe the ears is costume, unless she managed to really trim down her tail hair to fit it in the cat tail.

I've never liked the stuff that keeps the pony back legs but otherwise human features. It just looks weird.

Yep. I don't mind pony, I don't mind humanized, and I don't mind anthro, but the half&half dips into the uncanny valley for me.

Cat legs are like that, too (sort of) and the feet give no indication they're hooves (there's not enough space in the foot). It almost seems like she's actually got cat's feet somehow. That or she's got hominid feet and is pulling her toes back to make it look digigrade.

Dangit, I was just about to post that.

The more I think about Rarity's gold braces, the more I wonder why they aren't gem-studded instead. Would be more character-accurate.

They look more like brass, bismuth bronze or copper than gold...

Pure copper yes, but once they get a layer of copper oxide they're considerably darker. Couple that with the fact that the light's probably not shining on the braces on account of them being obscured by the mouth:

You'll note that's a dark red-brownish color.

You'll note that pure copper looks more like the braces she has than that, and even pure copper doesn't look like her braces.

not crown gold;
not rhodite;
not sterling;
not platinum;
not pure gold;
not copper (well pure copper anyways)
